[September 18, 2016]: In a battle of undefeated teams, the Blue Diamonds VS team came up short in a 20-15 loss to Next Level. After getting off to an excellent 6-0 start, the Diamonds found themselves behind 16-8 at halftime after Next Level went on an 8-1 run in the second quarter. In the second half, the Diamonds used aggressive defense and outstanding rebounding from Aashika to limit Next Level to just 4 points in the half. It was not enough, however, as the Diamonds struggled to finish layups and had some costly turnovers down the stretch. The Diamonds fought hard until the end and never gave up.

Aashika (17 rebounds, 8 points and 1 steal) was key to keeping the Diamonds in the game with excellent rebounding and efficient shooting. Unfortunately, she was the only Blue Diamond to have success shooting in the game as the shot a woeful 10 percent for the game.
