[July 18, 2016]: The Blue Diamonds VS team got back on track offensively and cruised to a 35-12 victory over the Angels at the midpoint of the summer PSA season. It was the third time in four games that the Diamonds have scored 35 or more points. In addition, the 140 total points that the Diamonds have scored this season are the most by any Blue Diamonds team in the first four games of a season since the basketball club started in the fall of 2013.

The diamonds started the game slowly, missing several open shot opportunities, but still managed to finish the first quarter on top 6-2. In the second quarter, the Diamonds took control of the game, outscoring the Angels 12-2 in the period lead by strong interior scoring from Aashika, who had 6 points in the quarter, and solid point guard play from Aliya. The Diamonds continued the offensive showcase in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Angels 9-2 with some nice passing in transition to build a 27-6 lead going into the final quarter.

The victory was a total team effort. Janet (9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals) lead all scorers and continues to be one of the top scorers in the division and Aashika (8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists) had her usual strong all-around game. Other strong performances came from Aliya (4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assists and 1 steal), Nandini (4 points and 2 steals), Malynn (6 rebounds, 3 points, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Zee Zee (5 steals, 3 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists), Jordan (2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist) and Kayla (2 points, 2 steals and 1 assist).
