[October 15, 2016] The Blue Diamonds/VS team hung on to win a surprisingly tough game against JAB by the score of 25-20. In spite of the significant size advantage of the Diamonds, JAB used good passing and pesky defense to keep the game within striking distance. In the end, the Diamonds controlled the inside battle and preserved the win.

Malynn (8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal) lead all scorers and was the recipient of some excellent passing from the wing from Jordan (3 assists and 1 rebound). Jordan and Malynn have perfected their two-girl game over the last several seasons to become the most effective half court scoring tandem on the team. With Malynn’s height, strength and soft touch, getting her the ball in good position always leads to high percentage baskets.

Other strong performances came from Aashika (18 rebounds, 4 points, 4 steals and 1 assist), Janet (5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal), Gabby (4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals), Shelbi (5 rebounds, 2 points and 1 blocked shot), Kayla (2 rebounds and 1 assist), and Aliya (2 points, 2 steals, 1 assist and 1 rebound).
